The Scalini chain and its chef

The idea of Elio Bevilacqua, the chef and owner of the Scalini chain, is classic dishes in the atmosphere of old Italy: a place where you can try the traditional cuisine of different regions of the country.

The chain has operated in Baku since 1998. It has restaurants on Bakikhanov Street, Scalini's Lounge, a branch in Port Baku Tower and a restaurant in Shahdag — and since July 2024 a restaurant at Sea Breeze.

Disputed: in 2024 the resort wrote about “25 years in Azerbaijan,” while the chain's website says “since 1998.” The chain's website has a badge “70 Best Restaurants with Pizzeria in the World, 2018”; which restaurant it belongs to is not said.
